Fruit in Schools
Rosebank School is part of the government scheme which delivers a piece of fruit or a vegetable to each child every day. The children enjoy a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables.
The Health Team - a group of Year 6 students - is responsible for sorting, cutting and distributing fruit to the classes.
In the middle of the year the Auckland District Health Board allocated funds for the School to create a vegetable garden. Gardening equipment, compost bins, seeds and plants were purchased. You can see how the garden was created by following the links opposite.
