What are Digital Storybooks?
Children in Years 0-3 use Photostory to tell others about what they have been doing at school. Photostory is free software for Windows users. It allows children to insert digital photos, write a short caption and record their voice. It is easy enough for young children to use independently. They love hearing themselves reading their own writing and looking at photos of recent class events. As you can see we can also include pictures they have created in Paint.
During Computer Club in Term 1 the children aged 5-8 years created pictures of things they like and took photos of each other. They worked in small groups to put these into a Photostory. We call these 'digital storybooks'.
