What else makes our school special?
-
We have an experienced and highly competent ESOL teacher and a trained support staff member for our English language learners. These special learners receive additional teaching and support.
- Our specialist ICT (Information and communication technologies) teacher works with classes and all of our teachers and support staff within our well equipped computer suite. Our children have frequent opportunities to use a variety of media and ICT resources. Every classroom has at least one computer for children to use as part of their regular class programmes.
- We are a Duffy School, and enjoy being part of the Books in Homes project. The children receive at least five free books per year, and participate in special role model assemblies where they meet up with people who are successful in various fields.
- We are extremely well resourced. There are two major resource rooms, and teachers have additional resources available for use in their classrooms.
- Every classroom has a sound field system. This makes the teacher's voice louder and clearer, helping the children to learn.
